False Alarm Reduction and Other Security IssuesIf you are on site when the burglary or fire alarm occurs, turn off the alarm and, with your account # and password at hand, await the call from our Central Station. Give the operator your account number and password. If it is not clear why the alarm went off, write down the violated zone or zones shown on the keypad and call ASC. Reset the alarm memory by turning off the system a second time. The violated zone will disappear from the keypad. If you are not on site during the alarm, upon your return, note and record the violated zones. Check the violated zone sensors & openings. Following your observations, if you fail to explain the alarm, contact ASC. Give our representative your violated zone information. If you can provide us enough information, a telephone consultation may be sufficient to explain and/or correct your false alarm problem. If the problem is not resolved through the phone consultation, ASC will schedule a service call. If your equipment failed under warranty, it will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you. If we make a service call and determine your equipment is functioning properly, you will be billed at the regular ASC service rates. Click to Print out this False Alarm Reduction Advice from ASC.
